Fiona Andrews

I live on the High Street in St Dogmaels with my husband, Piers, who was born on a local farm at the top of Longdown bank.

Previously I have worked in both the private sector, (specialising in marketing, strategic planning and market research), and the public sector, (with over 20 years in the NHS working to prevent ill health and promote wellbeing). Current experience includes property management including commissioning health & safety/fire risk assessments.

Relevant qualifications include business administration (MBA) specialising in marketing. Experience includes managing teams, budgets and regional programmes delivering across the SW of England.

I believe a village, a ‘real’ village where people can meet up, socialise and get to know each other well enough to celebrate the good times and pitch in to help each other is hard times needs a few things. The brilliant thing about St Dogmaels is it’s kept its school, its shop, its village hall, churches and developed a prize winning Tuesday market next to the Coach House. Let’s hang on to our last pub for ‘locals’ – the White Hart Inn. I hope the community will work together to keep it.

Rwy’n byw ar y Stryd Fawr yn Llandudoch gyda fy ngŵr, Piers, a anwyd ar fferm leol ar ben banc Longdown.

Cyn hynny, rydw i wedi gweithio yn y sector preifat, (gan arbenigo mewn marchnata, cynllunio strategol ac ymchwil i’r farchnad), a’r sector cyhoeddus, (gyda dros 20 mlynedd yn y GIG yn gweithio i atal salwch a hyrwyddo lles). Mae’r profiad presennol yn cynnwys rheoli eiddo gan gynnwys comisiynu asesiadau iechyd a diogelwch / risg tân.

Mae cymwysterau perthnasol yn cynnwys gweinyddu busnes (MBA) sy’n arbenigo mewn marchnata.Mae profiad yn cynnwys rheoli timau, cyllidebau a rhaglenni rhanbarthol sy’n darparu ar draws De Orllewin Lloegr.

Rwy’n credu bod pentref, pentref ‘go iawn ‘lle gall pobl gyfarfod, cymdeithasu a dod i adnabod ei gilydd yn ddigon da i ddathlu’r amseroedd da a rhoi mewn i helpu ei gilydd yn gyfnodau anodd angen ychydig o bethau. Y peth gwych am Landudoch yw ei fod yn cadw ei ysgol, ei siop, ei neuadd bentref, ei heglwysi a datblygodd farchnad ddydd Mawrth ar bwys y Coach House. Gadewch i ni hongian ar ein tafarn olaf ar gyfer s pobl leol ’- y White Hart Inn. Gobeithio y bydd y gymuned yn gweithio gyda’i gilydd i’w chadw.
