We originally purchased our home in St Dogmaels in 2011 as a bridge between our families in south Wales and our then home in county Clare in the republic of Ireland. It was always our intention to return to the UK after spending some time in Ireland. We are now both retired

In my time I have been a publican owning and running a local pub with restaurant and bed and breakfast in the Cotswolds, a general manager of a frozen food depot with about seventy staff and twenty five lorries and a carer for adults with disabilities. I have lived in many different communities over the years

I think the village pub should be the heart of the community for the residents and visitors and without one we will be so much the poorer.
